I want to introduce you to what I think, IMHO and Professional opinion what I think is the "perfect" owl nest box and one that I highly recommend any one thinking of putting up an owl or any nest box watch the many videos of the events that took place this past spring of 2010.

Buddy and Fluffy layed 5 eggs and fledged 5 beautiful owlest in June and have been coming back to the nest box to check on it and to protect their nest. There is a feature on Unstream the host to the live and stored recordings called a "chat" room where you can come and and most likely find some of us regulars there chatting during the day or evening before bed time. In the eveining we watch and are at times treated with an owls sighting. If you'd life to find me most likely I am here in the evening, join us!

Mel & Syd, a Love Story

After last years success with all the Barn Owl Cams streaming many people were either all ready building their own nest boxes or were inspired to do so after watching the ones from 2010 on Ustream. What a wonderful happening for not just the Barn Owls but in my opinion for all wildlife as many people developed a renewed interest in "wildlife" and "Bird Watching"

I sumbled upon this nest after a friend sent me the link and found this to be the next best nest after Buddy and Fluffy, (I can't help it, my love of Buddy and Fluffy is so deep). Here the nest owner designed a "state of the art" nest box that is bigger then several others that are on line and also has HD which makes the viewing spectacular!

This is a nest to watch and really get an great view of the inner life of a Barn Owl family! Happy watching!

Thier caretakers (box owners) have a wonderful web site set up so you can go there and read all about 2010 nesting, the nest box, surrounding area and the owner is a fantastic artist so be sure to check out her talent!!

What a Wonderful World we live in now, bird watching use to consist of sitting in the outdoor elements in the middle of no where with no facilities, at the mercy of the weather and mother nature with binoculars and a field guide. This is a wonderful experience and some thing that can give us a wonderful view into the intimate lives ow our wildlife.
